Baby Gorilla Akin Plates
The Baby Gorilla Mini Plating System is a comprehensive foot and ankle
specific plating system that includes an expansive offering of over 65
unique plates all accommodating both 2.0 mm and 2.5 mm locking and non-locking
variable angle plate screws.
In addition, the Baby Gorilla includes a robust assortment of instrumentation
specific to foot and ankle procedures including small pin compression and
distraction tools, curettes, reduction forceps as well as straight and curved
osteotomes.
The Baby Gorilla System offers three different plate solutions specifically
designed for the Akin osteotomy. All three plate options are 1.1 mm thick and
include both a 2-Hole locking and 2-Hole compression option each with an
extended bridge to ensure clearance across the osteotomy.
Also included is a 3-hole Akin plate that is anatomically designed and contoured
around the medial aspect of the hallux.
